Dear Sirs, Following our recent conversations, it is our pleasure to invite the Regional Moldovan Authorities of Cimislia and Nisporeni to visit the Region of Central Macedonia and in particular the rich agricultural area of Imathia. On our side we will also be backed by the Chamber of Commerce and the Local Development Agency. We propose your visit, to take place between 6 and 7 of March 2018. At the local level, we implement and participate in the following projects:
creation of interregional centers of agricultural logistics (Nisporeni and Cimislia) two and three-way trade missions of investors and business partners of Moldova and Greece, Italy, Canada, China, USA, Romania, Kyrgyzstan MICAAT (PPP-type, MOU stage) The signed Memorandum envisages the creation of the International Center for Applied Agricultural Technology, based on the joint IGFPP Institute of Genetics, Plant Physiology and Protection (previously 3, individual institutes). The project is aimed at the creation of agricultural products and services, by combining modern digital technologies and methodologies and research of the Institute. Initiating and stimulating leasing schemes for organizing small agro-industrial production to increase the added value of agricultural products in the region. HVAA, High-value agriculture Logistics and honey production in South-Eastern Europe, in cooperation with the Italian manufacturer of Farck SpA equipment; Feasibility study for the production of 12-coal series of glass containers for honey, with Glass Container Moldova-GCC. A number of projects in the field of renewable energy from waste (biogas), municipal waste management schemes in Chisinau municipality; Sorting of MSW, RDF chain and incineration and pyrolysis.
The IGROW team in Moldova and Greece has conducted half a year research analyzing business opportunities that will mutually benefit both countries. IGROW’s goal is to bring not just investment to Moldova by viable existing industries in Greece but to expand their markets and production and create Moldova as hub to more efficiently produce their products and as an export cluster to reach old and new markets from Moldova’s unique East-West vantage point.
The result of the IGROW efforts is the invitation by the Vice Governor of the Region of Central Macedonia, Greece, Konstantinos Kalaitzidis to Moldovan Regional and governmental authorities and businesses to travel to Greece and present the beneficial opportunities that Moldova offers and to meet with many Hellenic businesses that are keenly interested in Moldova.
Unlike typical trade promotion delegations, our Moldovan delegation will present to an audience already indoctrinated on Moldovan advantages and opportunities and are ready to move quickly in various projects that have been developed for them by the IGROW team.

Hellenic Businesses Prepared to Negotiate Opportunities in Moldova
The largest winery in Northern Greece, exporting to 17 different countries and looking for new investments in the Balkans and new entries towards Russia will be negotiating an acquisition of a major Moldovan company.
Two major waste management companies are preparing formal offers to build and operate municipal waste systems in two Moldovan municipalities.
Seven pharmaceutical companies are ready to partner with a Moldovan distributor to supply and purchase pharmaceuticals and to export from Moldova to existing clients in CIS countries.
Major fresh fruit dealers wish to establish facilities in Moldova within 2018 for juice processing and export to existing clients worldwide.
Two solar hot water heater manufacturers wish to distribute then manufacture in Moldova consumer solar water heaters.
One American company interested in establishing a military aircraft refurbishment facility in Moldova with first project of 70 used helicopters Greece is purchasing from the US.
